Laser Resurfacing

An annual reset, told in seven days.

Fractional CO2 laser for sun damage, pigmentation, and fine lines. Once a year, in winter. Real recovery, real result.

Laser ResurfacingAn annual reset, told in seven days.

What it is

The treatment, explained without jargon.

Fractional CO2 laser is the most aggressive non-surgical resurfacing we offer. The laser removes microscopic columns of damaged skin while leaving the surrounding tissue as a healing scaffold. The treated zones trigger a full collagen renewal across 90 days.

We treat once a year, in winter, when the strict sun-avoidance protocol is easiest to follow. A single annual session resets skin quality for the next 12 to 24 months: smoother texture, reduced pigmentation, softened lines, measurably smaller pore size. Recovery is real (five to seven days social downtime) but the result is the closest a non-surgical treatment gets to a facelift in feel.

What it treats

Concerns this is the answer for.

  • Deep fine lines and moderate wrinkles
  • Sun damage and uneven pigmentation
  • Acne scarring (boxcar, ice-pick, rolling)
  • Enlarged pores
  • Pre-cancerous spots (in conjunction with dermatology referral)

What to expect

Your visit, in three steps.

  1. 75 min

    Numbing

Compounded topical and nerve-block injections at brow, cheek, and chin. We do not cut corners here.

  2. 45 to 60 min

    Laser pass

Dr. Wren adjusts depth and density per zone of the face. Sensation is heat with mild stinging at the periphery, fully numb in the center.

  3. 5 to 7 days social downtime

    Recovery

Days 1-2: oozing and crusting. Days 3-5: peeling and pink. Days 6-7: pink fading, mineral makeup OK. Result builds to 90 days.

Aftercare

The next 24 to 72 hours.

  • Petroleum occlusive every 2 hours for the first 7 days
  • No makeup for 5 days, mineral foundation OK at day 6
  • Mineral SPF daily for 30 days minimum, ideally 90
  • No swimming, sauna, or sweating for 14 days
  • No retinoids, AHAs, vitamin C, or actives for 30 days
  • Strict sun avoidance for 30 days; SPF 50 mineral after
  • Antiviral prophylaxis for 7 days even without cold sore history

Laser Resurfacing questions

Common questions, honest answers.

  • Days 1-2: oozing, not presentable. Days 3-5: peeling, pink, makeup not possible. Days 6-7: pink fading, mineral foundation OK. Plan 7 days of social downtime.
